Einick Gitelman was a remarkable man, who left a huge imprint during his memorable life.
He treated a stranger as a friend and a friend as a best friend. A man of many traits and willing to help anyone in need; he was most happy when given the opportunity to aid someone. His smile and love of life that he shared with everyone he encountered has left us precious memories.
Einick was tragically killed on November 11th, 2011. In memory of Einick, the family and his amazing circle of friends have organized the 1st annual Einick Gitelman Hockey Tournament. The object is to raise funds for NDG Minor Hockey in order to help boys / girls who cannot afford hockey equipment or fees to play hockey: the sport that Einick so loved.
Einick started playing in NDG Minor hockey at the young age of five in pre-novice, continuing right through to the Hurricanes Midget BB. His love for hockey was rooted in him and he continued playing hockey and coaching throughout his short adult life.
We thank you for considering a donation to this special fund in memory of Einick….
