Tom Dark—literary agent, musician, writer, mystic, explorer of the higher mind, trusted guide of the human psyche, creative genius, horse lover, soul mate, father, brother and cherished friend—died suddenly and unexpectedly on October 28.
A Memorial Fund has been established to assist his family with the funeral expenses; you are welcome to contribute to this fund using the links below.
The suddenness of Tom’s death has left many of us with hearts full of unspoken feelings, perhaps some unshared thoughts, a collection of ideas we were looking forward to discussing with him, many of which are now pouring out into an emptiness that cannot be received by any other human being. There was no other just like him.
One of Tom’s most endearing gifts was his profound ability to love, tolerate, understand and support a vast array of human imperfections. It was one of the many ways he used his compassionate intelligence to help us find value in the vagaries and vicissitudes of our lives, and sometimes, when we needed it the most, he enabled us to see ourselves through the unconditionally cherishing eyes of his mythic spirit.
This website provides a place for you to speak some of those thoughts and feelings that were left unsaid. Tom’s family and friends would appreciate hearing from you. Many have found this a helpful means of finding personal peace with this sudden loss, and for reaching some kind of closure with our grief.
For the love of Tom, and on behalf of his family and countless friends and admirers, we ask you to join us in wishing him a triumphant journey. Until we meet again …
