***Updated message from Prayers For Bryson: At just 4 years old, Bryson was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a type of childhood brain cancer. He passed away in July 2015, just nine months after his diagnosis. Since his death, Prayers for Bryson aims to raise awareness about DIPG and the importance of finding a cure for this devastating disease, which has a survival rate of less than 1 percent.***
Friday, October 24th, Bryson spent his days entertaining his Mommy, hanging out with his GiGi, playing with Elsa the cat, and being a normal 4 year old boy. Saturday, October 25th, that all changed when his mom noticed something wasn't right with Bryson and took him to the ER. Several hours later, lots of doctors and a MRI revealed an inoperable brain tumor has taken over Bryson's brain and brainstem. Sunday, October 26th, a neurosurgeon told Bryson's mom that he only has 6 months to 1 year left to be with his Mommy.
Luckily, right now, Bryson is still as happy as can be and is enjoying all the extra company. However, his motor function has already been extremely useless to him as it grows weaker and weaker, and his speech is starting to slur. This ugly tumor is trying to destroy Bryson's entire body.
Fortunately for Bryson, he has the most wonderful Mommy. She is strong, caring, hard working, loving, and 100% dedicated to her little boy. Lily is a single mom that works extremely hard to provide for herself and Bryson. Unfortunately, Lily is going to be spending every minute with her son, which means she won't be working during this time.
Most importantly, Bryson needs your prayers. Lily needs your prayers. A miracle is what is going to help this little boy right now.
