We are back from San Fran!  We had a good trip.  Got in Monday night and went right to the hotel.  Got up Tuesday and made our way into the city.  We went to the Family House, which is the University of California at San Fran's version of the Ronald McDonald House.  Great organization if you are looking to support something this holiday season.  We did the orientation and got settled and then made our way to the hospital.  We walked through a great neighborhood by the hospital, and Aaron and I both agreed we love that city.  Haven loved it too.  She loved people watching and hearing all the different languages that were spoken everywhere.  We got to the hospital and met with our Hem/Oncologist for a couple hours and hashed out Haven's situation.  As of right now, all we know is that Haven will be starting a new round of chemo next week here in Denver.  After that, depending on how the cancer responds, it will be determined on how we will proceed.  We might be doing some treatment in San Fran, and some here in Denver.  As we know more, I will update all of you.  On Wednesday, we made our way to Pier 39 and the Wharf before our plane took off.  Haven got to see the ocean AND sea lions.  She barked like a sea lion for the rest of the day they were so entertaining.  We had fish and chips and Ben and Jerry's ice cream.  All in all, a successful trip in many ways.  We have the beginning of our plan and we saw the sights we were aiming for.  Thanks for all the texts and emails.  I am sorry I couldnt get back to all of you but I was so appreciative for the thoughts and love because I was sooooo nervous!
Thanks to everyone who came to the Bootcamp for Love and for everyone who golfed at the Fore Haven golf tourney! Big round of applause for all you "dirty" friends in Missoula that ran for Haven in the Dirty Dash!!   I didnt get to send my sincere and complete love and thanks because we were sidetracked by recent events with Haven's condition, but we want you to know we are so grateful!!
One more plug, if you or anyone you know lives in Wisconsin or Chicago, IL, please get them over tohttp://worldrecordshave.comand have them sign up to do Shavin for Haven for the Guiness Book of World Records and to raise money for pediatric cancer research.  We have so many new friends who are battling this disease in its many forms and they need your support!  No child, parents, grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, friend, or acquaintance should ever have to hear that their loved one must begin a battle with cancer.  Do it for someone you love or do it for Haven!  She is starting new treatment and show her you got her back!!
Love to you and yours, Erin

Update from Erin regarding Haven's surgery to remove those nasty cancer tumors!

I am sitting in the PICU at Rocky Mountain.  Haven has come out of surgery and we are recovering. We got here around 8 am and got platelets and then headed into surgery at 1130am.  They blocked off 3.5 hours for the surgery and it ended up taking 6.  Aaron and I are extremely drained emotionally.  Half way through, our oncologist came out to tell us that the tumor had calcified around her arteries so it was slow and steady work for our surgeon to get at it.  When the surgeon finally came out, she was as happy as us that it was over.  She said that when she opened Haven up, everything was so stuck together with cancer tissue around such delicate structures, she just took her time and tried to get as much as she could in a safe manner.  She said she was pleased with the outcome based on how tough the situation was and Haven currently has two working kidneys.  AMEN.  As you can see from the photo she has quite the scar.  She is currently in a lot of pain, so the staff in the PICU is trying to manage it the best.  She cannot eat or drink and she just wants water.  She also wants to stand up and that can't happen either based on her tummy.  She has a naso-gastric tube to help her stomach after being moved around and she is so mad about it.  All in all, tough as nails and holding her own.  We are hoping to be moved out of the PICU tomorrow and on to the regular peds floor. The tissue that was taken out is being sent down to pathology and we will learn if it is non-viable tissue.  We are hoping that it is all dead!!!  We want to see no living neuroblastoma cells!!  As we move forward, Ill will update.  We will be here for the next few days.  I am here tonight and Aaron will relieve me tomorrow morn so I can get to my first day of work!

Thank you for all the loving, kind messages.  You are all amazing and we couldnt do this without your support.  Keep up the prayers for fast healing!! Love.

Like on facebook    I Heart Haven Belle page!

I have set up this new donations page in order to continue support for Haven's medical expenses.  The last page on the fundrazr.com site seemed to have some glitches and quirks that were hard to figure out.  Since I am no professional at this, I searched until I could find a totally free site (except for small paypal fee to process the transactions) and easy to share with other.  The old donations page was able to raise exactly $15,000 in exactly one month!! WOW!

So Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, The Anderson family feels the love and support from each and everyone of you!  BUT..........lets keep it going.........!
