Zach was in an auto accident on the morning of September 4, 2013. He was on his way to school, crossed an intersection and was struck by oncoming traffic. He was airlifted from the scene of the accident. He sustained a head laceration and traumatic brain injury. We spent six days at University Medical Center before being transferred to rehab at Trustpoint Hospital. He undergoes three hours of therapy a day which include Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. He progresses daily and has made great strides. We see more and more of our Zachary each day. Of course, he wants to go home, as do we! The next step is getting him moved to a brain specialized rehab, thankfully here in town. That will accelerate his progress and transition him back to school. Zach is a junior at Roosevelt High School and lives in Ransom Canyon, Texas. He is a lively, ambitious, and busy 16 year old. We anxiously await his return home and look forward to seeing him walk back into school and back to his life. We are surrounded by a great support network that have loved and encouraged us as well as been a great help to us through this season of his life. We are forever grateful!
