The Story

Oregon wrestling friends and supporters, one of our very own, Mike Sills, has had a horrible reoccurrence of cancer. He was studying for his PhD in Hawaii to become Dr. Sills and I believe he was one year away from completing it. Mike and his girlfriend Jessie are financially strapped and could use our support. As many of you know, Mike beat cancer once. He had Ewing Sarcoma, a rare childhood cancer, and had a 3% chance of living. It is back and his odds are even lower. He has a massive tumor in his back that has paralyzed his good leg and it has spread throughout his body. He has a collapsed lung and needs to get it better to fly. His wish is to fly back to Oregon to see everyone again, but he is too humble to ask for help nor probably comfortable burdening folks with this news. Much of his family who are incurring his medical debts are strapped for cash from his first bout with cancer. Mike has been a brother to me and an inspiration to all who have known him throughout his life. He was living a cleaner life than anyone I know in an effort to get to optimal health to have a surgery to repair his bad leg so he could walk again. Around Christmas he became very ill and lost the ability to walk. He is having heart problems and is very weak. I know they would feel blessed if we sent our love to him via mail or offered any generous donations to help. There address in Hawaii is 819A Lukepane Ave. Honolulu, HI 96816. Thank you for all of your love and support.

Mike fought a long hard fight with cancer.  Mike past this morning peacefully and was as brave and courageous warrior as one could be through this time.  His fiance Jesse and his mother Sally were amazing people and showed strength and character throughout this battle.  Mike may you rest in peace and thank you for blessing all who were fortunate enough to know you as a man.  I can't say enough great things about Mike and thank you all for donating in this cause and bringing Mike home.  Much love,

Mike has gotten out of the hospital temporarily.  He is regaining his strength and has good hope for returning to the mainland.  Everyone's love and generosity has gone a long ways.  Mike has asked Jessie to read everyone's messages to him and is overwhelmed by the amount of people that love and care about him and who have given.  Let's help Mike reach this $5,000 goal.  Were close.  Keep getting the word out for him and if you still haven't donated, please do so now.

Mike is in very critical condition.  He really needs our help.  His mom Sally, would like to raise $45,000 to help fly him to the mainlaind in a medical transport plane.  On the mainlaind he could receive the care he needs to beat cancer.  Mike really needs to get back to Seattle to receive the care he needs.  Any money you can donate right now would be super helpful for Mike and his family.  Please donate if you haven't and convince some friends to help also.  Thanks,
