The Story

Kathryn Keeton is someone who has dedicated her life to serving others and has been a bright light in the community for 53 years, healing the land, the animals, and people along the way. She now needs your help!

On Friday, August 22, Kathryn experienced a stroke that affected the whole right side of her body.  She has been in the hospital since and should be released to go back home on Saturday, September 27th.  She has already started making a good recovery, but she needs 24 hour home care as well as alternative care to assist her in regaining full function of the right side of her body. We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of medical equipment, transportation, licensed home care providers, alternative practitioners, and medical expenses, as her recovery will be a gradual one over the next year.

For those of you who don't know her, Kathryn is someone who has dedicated her life to serving others, and she loves our planet with a big heart.  She always says that there is no such thing as strangers for her, just friends she hasn't met yet. Kathryn is kind, funny and always focused on exactly where she is needed.  She has taken the huge amount of spirit that has been given to her, and in turn gives it back to everyone and everything that she can find to help.  This is the thing that makes her the happiest about being alive.

Kathryn's spiritual calling began early in life.  As a young child, Kathryn was very in tune with nature, with others, and with spirits.  Throughout her entire childhood, people would come and share their deepest stories with Kathryn and she would feel things shift and change around them.   Kathryn didn't always know what to say but she felt the importance of listening from a very deep place in herself until the heaviness had lifted from each person sharing their story.  When Kathryn was 27, she found her calling as a massage therapist.  People started experiencing healing as a result of her touch, even when she was still in massage school.  The owner and head teacher of the school tried to talk to her about it, but she wasn't ready to hear it yet. But after another year, there were many healings and transformations being reported by others, and Kathryn's psychic abilities were opening up more and more, so she had no choice but to look at the reality and accept the healing gifts that were coming through her.

Kathryn then began to work in earnest to develop her gifts.  She started training with one of her guides to assist people recover from things like migraine headaches, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and chronic fatigue.  Individuals even healed from Parkinson's Disease and Epstein Barr as well with her gifts.  On the soul level, hundreds of individuals that Kathryn worked with had been dealing with deep emotional pain, confusing life lessons, abusive and harmful life situations, and many overwhelming questions about life.  Kathryn has helped to provide a space for people where deep insight can occur, true spiritual transformation can happen, and freedom from emotional traumas can occur completely.  She provided many people with the opportunity to dig deep inside to find true and authentic answers for themselves at any stages of their life’s journey.   She has also helped many people as they were coming to the end of their lives.  With compassion, humor, deep understanding, and empathy, she has helped them learn to engage more deeply with themselves, the people around them, and their lives.  Kathryn has traveled all over the US and Canada to help as many people as possible.  Helping people tap into who they really are so they could live as their authentic self and accomplish their dreams and aspirations was Kathryn's pride and joy in her career as a spiritual teacher and healer.

In 1992, her team of guides made Kathryn aware that she was needed to help with the clearing energy in the land and the animal kingdom.  Up until then, she had done several small clearings, such as working with the disharmony of the trauma from battlefields, cleaning up energetic residue from car accidents and other misfortunes that can leave an imprint and cause more bad things to keep occurring in the same place.  One of Kathryn's main abilities is to move huge amounts of energy. She has assisted in moving energy to depressurize earthquakes around the Ring of Fire.  She worked with others to help stop the lava flow in Yellow Stone National Park.  She helped contain the nuclear waste from Fukushima to diminish the radiation.  Kathryn has been involved in big and small projects to heal the earth almost every day since 1992. There are too many to list.  We will be publishing more of this information, for those of you who are interested in the near future.

With all this service work that Kathryn has provided our planet and it's people, we are now asking for support to assist in her full recovery.  We want to give back to Kathryn, and support her on her journey to recovery.  Please donate what you can and tell your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers about Kathryn if you feel called to.  If you are unable to help financially, please send prayers for Kathryn’s full recovery.

If you would like to send messages to Kathryn, she would love to hear from you. Please email her at [email protected].

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for all of your donations and also for all of your beautiful messages. I love hearing from all of you.  A friend recently checked out our site here and made a suggestion to us. She mentioned that you all might want to know exactly what I need for my recovery.  As most of you know, I am not accustomed to needing much or asking for much from others. So the truth is, it never occurred to me to share all of that. I think it was a great suggestion!

My recovery is going very well on it's own. And I am happy with my body's re-building process. However, I have gotten to a place where I need some support in my recovery. Here is a list of things that would help me recover more quickly and more fully. I have included our estimated costs based on the research I have done. Thank you for considering supporting me in my life right now. Also, I feel all of the prayers from my friend, supporters and loved ones. So if you can't make a financial donation, please say a prayer for me. They truly support me as well.

The list:
1.physical therapy: I need additional therapy for 6 months at $18,000.

2. Occupational Therapy:  I need additional therapy for 6 months at $18,000

3. Speech Therapy:  I need additional therapy for 6 months at $18,000.

4. I found out about a Naturopath who only lives 4 hours away who can increase my chances of being able to walk again. His wife had a stroke. The doctors did their best for her but sent her home saying she would be an invalid for the rest of her life. This doctor of naturopathy worked and worked until he discovered everything she needed to heal her body completely and walk, drive and resume her normal life. He has developed a treatment protocol for stroke survivors which has been extremely successful. I would need to go to his town for two weeks at a time to take some intensive therapy. Then I would have a protocol to follow at home between visits. My doctors are supportive of any additional therapies that have been proven to help others. We think it might take three rounds of treatments over 6 months and high level supplements and alternative treatments in between. The cost to do this work with him is approximately $2000.00 per day plus room and board for me and my caretakers, plus all of the special food and nutritional supplements that support the nervous system in fully re-growing itself.  We need approx $129,000.00 for the entire 6 months. We can provide the full breakdown for anyone who would like to help with this part of my recovery.

5. I need some additional support for my body. I have several friends who have been donating bodywork to me, running a tab or working on me at way reduced rates. Jacquie and I did not expect to be at the same stage of recovery this long. The doctors gave us a prognosis that was way shorter and my body did not cooperate with their estimated time line. I need to raise money to pay my friends who have patiently been waiting for 6 months to receive payment for their wonderful massage, healing, cranio-sacral, aromatherapy, etc...  I also need some additional types of work which I have not sought out yet because I was hoping that Jacquie and I would be able to catch up financially ourselves and then expand my care. Unfortunately, that has not happened yet.
In order to pay my sweet and dedicated friends and set up the proper treatments for the next 6 months I need $43,000.00.

6. This last part is very personal and a little hard for me to write. I have always been a very self-sufficient person. I left home at 17 and began taking care of myself completely. I have had people who helped me at different times when I needed support. But I have never been dependent on someone since I was a child. I have been completely dependent on Jacquie since the day of my stroke Aug. 23rd. She has been a saint, a Godsend and way beyond an amazing partner. However, she cannot handle the demands of being the breadwinner all alone and my primary caregiver. Insurance covers a caregiver for approximately 20 hours per week and that is it. So 20 hours per day Monday through Friday and 24 hours per day Saturday and Sunday, Jacquie has to take care of me. It is very literally a full time job. She is not the type to complain. She seriously has worked all of the hours that she can and we can't create everything that we need alone. I need things almost every hour. I need help going to the bathroom, getting stuff to my level in the kitchen and help doing everything. I am wheel chair bound for now.  And when I do get to the point where I can walk I will be on a walker possibly permanently.
Jacquie not only cares for me, she performs hours worth of energy healing and massage on me almost every day. I told you she was a saint!!!!
The doctors told us I would be walking by November. Then a nurses assistant dropped me while I was in rehab and my recovery is taking much longer than they anticipated. Jacquie and I have both worked extremely hard to get me better in the last 6 months. We have discovered that I need therapies that insurance won't cover and we need support just to live for a few months so Jacquie can focus on my recovery while we are in the window that doctors say full recovery is still possible.  In addition to all of the treatments and above expenses I need financial help for my personal expenses. We are planning 6 months for me to fully recover so we can both go back to work. I need $6000.00 a month to take care of all my personal needs. So we are asking for $36,000.00 for me.

So the grand total that we are committed to raising for my well being and support in healing is $262,000.00.

It is my commitment to recover fully and go back to work healing, teaching and writing. I have helped so many people in my life and I truly loved every minute of it. I believe with all of my heart that Spirit and good people who can afford to help will show up during this time and help me.  Thank you so much for all you have done and all you are doing or will do for me. I pray for everyone every day with a little extra for those who have helped me. I have heard some awesome stories about wonderful things that have happened for many of you. Please feel free to post your experiences here.

Also a wonderful lady named Jennifer Chou donated $100.00 and left a message about learning Earth Healing. We did not get any contact info for you. Please leave us contact info and I will get back to you. I would love to have a chat about Earth healing- a topic whose time has come!  And thank you so much for your contribution!

Love and mucho blessings to you all.

Hi Everybody,
Sorry it has been so long since my last update.  I have been super focused on my own healing process in my body, mind, heart, and soul and it is paying off!  I have been having so many memories of things throughout my life that moved me, touched me very deeply, and made me who I am today.  But looking at so many parts of my history after the stroke has completely changed my view in so many ways.  For the long version, you will have to read my upcoming book which I am currently working on.  The working title is "I Stroked Out...& Then I Came Back In".  We may change the title, I will keep you posted.  The short version of this part of my update is that I am humbled so deeply by the life that I have been allowed to live.  If this had been my time, which thank GOD it wasn't, I could have looked back from the other side and felt very full, proud, and honored about everything that I got to do and be a part of.  For those of you who were any part of my life thus far, I want to thank you for the priveledge and the opportunity to have shared time with you in whatever ways we did.  Thank you!

As for my recovery, I am recovering my memory quite rapidly and fully.  My ability to cognitize and work with my beloved abstract thought, as well as, my concrete reality, which reaches out to lots and lots of dimensions, is all returning to me.  My mobility on my right side is about 60% returned.  I have lots of feeling in my right arm, torso, and right leg.  Just a few days ago, I regained the ability to use my right foot and ankle and stand with stability.  These are all huge milestones for me.  I have had some amazing friends and beautiful souls who are brand new people in my life show up to help me with my recovery.  I want to thank everyone who has put forth effort on my behalf in any way.  You guys are all the best!

Now that I am back to this degree, I will attempt to update you guys every week or so.  Please feel free to keep in touch with me through my email.  All messages of support, love, and blessings are very appreciated.

Much love and many blessings to you,
Kathryn

Hi Everybody,
I got home from inpatient rehab the day before yesterday.  I am so happy to be back home!  Thank you to everyone who has donated or pledged to donate.  Every bit of support is hugely appreciated right now.  As we move into Fall, I want all of you to open your hearts to receive the bountiful harvest that is in your life right now.  If you have to think for a minute to figure out what that is, it's OK.  Most of us have an abundance of wonderful things and one way to keep that flow coming in, is to always take a moment to be grateful.
Love you!
Take care!
Kathryn
