The Story

Thanks for visiting our page! As many of you already know we have been on a long journey to start our family. It has been a roller coaster ride for both of us, and we are about to step onto the last ride of our journey, using a gestational carrier. We will be using our embryos from our last IVF cycle. The baby will be genetically ours just carried by someone else.

We have been married for 5 years and started trying to have a child in 2011. Katie was diagnosed with a hypothalamic disfunction, hormonal disorders, and PCO. Katie had uterine surgery to remove a septum, as well as endometriosis in November of 2012. This April we found out that Katie is unable to carry a pregnancy.

After many less invasive failed treatments, we began in vitro the Summer of 2013. We have had 2 failed attempts; one pregnancy that resulted in a very early miscarriage, and the other was not successful. From our last egg retrieval we know that we have PERFECT frozen embryos. That being said we need those embryos to be placed into the best environment, and that environment is found in a gestational carrier.

We have chosen this path, and are nervous but also excited. We know that the Lord has lead us here. We are very thankful for everyone who has been so supportive through prayers, encouragemnet, friendship and love.

At this point we are no longer able to carry this financial burden alone. We have created this page for the purpose of fundraising, but will also be providing updates on everything as well. Whether you can give or not, please share this page with those who may need to see it!

Please stay tuned for many updates and come along side us as we get on this wild ride!!

In Him,
Monroe and Katie Campbell

First of all we wanted to say thank you to all of the people who donated towards this journey we have been on, we are so grateful for your generosity.

On July 26th our dear surrogate delivered our beautiful twins. It was the most joyous and the most sorrowful day of our lives, but we trust that the Lord is sovereign, and we are not without hope.
We can't stand the thought of taking this site down because of all the time and effort that went into it as well as all the sweet messages from friends and family. Once I feel as if I can get my thoughts together in an organized way, I am going to pick up where I left off blogging at which I now see has been exactly one year since I posted anything.
Where do we stand now? We are not sure where the Lord is leading us, but we know that we both desire so deeply to be parents, and we trust that He will grant us the desires of our hearts. We are not without hope and we will continue to walk by faith and not by sight. Please pray for us in the upcoming days, weeks and months that our hearts would heal and that we would continue to seek God's will daily.
We love you!
Katie and Monroe

Last time we posted an update we were 50 days from transfer we are now 9 days away! NINE!!! Single digits!! 9!!!

Amy is amazing, and she has handled all the injections and medications like a champ. Her constant calmness and sanity keeps me in check, which I am forever grateful for.

When I look back over this past year of knowing Amy, and starting this journey, it's hard to believe we are to this point. We are so comforted by the fact that we have so many people praying for us and so many people who are just as excited about this process as we are.

Please pray for Amy, for her body, and for her mind. Please also pray for my anxiety, and my nerves and pray for Monroe who is leading me so well through this that he will continue to turn me toward the Lord.

Last, and absolutely not least pray for those precious two embryos that are about to be “thawed”, pray that they survive that process and that they are strong and hold on tight!

We love you and are so thankful for each of you! Stay tuned for exciting updates to come!

Much love,

A lots of news since our last post! The contracts are done, signed and notarized, and we are now offically underway! When we signed the contracts on January 30th it was seriously one of the most exciting times yet, and has made the journey feel so real. The reality that we will hopefully be parents is beginning to set in!

Amy has started the IVF process towards the  transfer date, which is set for APRIL 2nd!!!

Please be praying for Amy as she prepares her body for the transfer. Between now and April 2nd she has a lot of appointments (and shots) and I know first hand how hard the process is on your body. Even though I am not, myself, going through the medical part this time, I still feel every emotion of the process which is sometimes overwhelming. Each day that passes we become more greatful for Amy and her sacrafice for our family.

It is incrediable how the Lord has provided for us and lead us every step along the way to get us to this point. We thank Him for sending us Amy and her sweet family and we could not ask for a better family to be walking through this journey with.

We promise to update more soon!! 50 days until transfer!!!!

In Him,
Monroe and Katie
