The Story

Family & Friends of Chad Mosman -- Please help us support Chad in his valiant fight against brain cancer.

In honor of Chad and his family, we will be hosting the "Walk Ahead of Cancer" event on Sunday June 15th, 9:00 AM at Swan Lake Park in Carroll, IA. Please join us in walking, running, or biking around Swan Lake. Wear a favorite gray t-shirt (showing support of brain cancer awareness) and any element of fun (tutu, boas, shades, hats, etc.) to match Chad's positive attitude in his fight against this disease.  At the finish, A & W will provide a free hurricane ice cream treat to anyone who makes a freewill donation to support brain cancer research.  Learn more about Chad's journey at www.aheadofcancer.com

If you are not able to attend, donations can be made here on this site, or made payable to Walk Ahead of Cancer, c/o United Bank, 609 N. Clark St., Carroll, IA 51401.

Questions, email: [email protected]

Thanks in advance for all your love and Support!

Walk Ahead of Cancer Thanks YOU….

Whether you were a walker, a runner, a biker, whether you were a photographer, a DJ, a courtesy driver/medic, a reservationist, or a CFO, whether you were a sign maker, a necktie collector, an ice cream maker or a baker, whether you were a donator, a pray-er or both, whether you helped with a big task or a small one -- one thing’s for sure… “Alone we can do little, together we can do a lot!” In addition, together we raised over $6000 for Brain Cancer Research! Thank you EVERYONE!

Chad will be donating all of the money raised to the Musella Foundation For Brain Tumor Research & Information.  You can read about it here--  http://virtualtrials.com/musella.cfm

In Chad’s own words, “I would have to say the main reason I chose the Musella Foundation is because the founder, Al Musella, works tirelessly for the entire brain tumor community.  I’ve donated a couple times in the past and just feel like he’s got a good pulse on the up and coming promising treatments.  The site really helped me early on when I was diagnosed.”

Some of you mentioned that you would still like to donate.  You can do so at www.youcaring.com/ChadMosman or by mailing a donation to United Bank, 609 N. Clark St,. Carroll, IA 51401 (payable to  Walk Ahead of Cancer/Chad Mosman).  We ask that all donations be made by June 30th so we can close the accounts.  Thank you again!  As always, you can follow Chad’s journey at www.aheadofcancer.com.

Can we say thank you one more time? THANK YOU! :)

A HUGE Thank You to all of you that have shown support through your thoughts, prayers, and donations.....we truly can't thank you enough for your generosity!

With the walk just a few weeks away we are getting excited!!! For those of you attending the walk at Swan Lake on June 15th (and even those of you that aren't able to attend), we encourage everyone to wear their favorite gray shirt (showing support of brain cancer awareness) on that day. We have custom made shirts for sale to support Chad in his valiant fight. For a $35 donation we can ship you a shirt....but you must order by June 4th! All proceeds will be donated to brain cancer research. The shirt and sizing chart are viewable in the gallery on the youcaring website. To order, complete the following:

1) Submit a $35.00 donation for each shirt you would like to purchase to the www.youcaring.com/ChadMosman Fundraiser.

2) Send an email to [email protected] with your name, shirt size(s), and address (if you want it shipped). If you'll be at the walk then note that in the email and we will have it for you that day. We have youth through adult shirts available. Shirts are unisex and run true to size.

3) Send us pictures of you in your shirt to [email protected]. The photos will be compiled and sent to Chad to show him just how much we are all rooting for him! Also include any message you'd like to go along with the photo. Even if you're not ordering our shirt....send us a picture of you in your own gray shirt on June 15th ;)

THANK YOU again to all for your support.

Love,

The Mosman's (Chad's Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins)
