Glenn Hartrick, an avid triathlete, was on a routine training ride the morning of June 12, 2014 when his ride became anything but routine. Glenn was involved in a very serious crash which resulted in several serious injuries. Subsequently, Glenn was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where he underwent surgery several hours after arriving. While his injury and condition were very serious, he had an amazing team of doctors present for his procedures. Glenn spent many days in ICU in stable condition before being moved to the critical care unit. No matter what unit he was in, he quickly won over the nursing staff at Hackensack University Medical Center with his magnetic personality. After just 30 days, Glenn was given the good word that he could move onto a rehabilitation center.
Glenn is excited to be working hard at Kessler, a top rated, state of the art facility for rehabilitation services. Kessler is world renowned in injuries similar to Glenn. What they aren’t familiar with is an athlete with such drive, discipline and perseverance. We will all be following his rehabilitation journey just as we have followed all his other training, races, finish lines and successes.
While Glenn continues to have an amazing energy about him, we ask that you continue to support him. He knows that he has a long road ahead of him. We, his friends & family, can make that road just a little bit easier. We ask that you do what you can in a time of need for someone who has always been there for everyone else.
