The Story

Help Support Those In Need

We are all aware, there are more natural disasters each year.

For instance, the most powerful typhoon ever recorded in history to hit land plummeted the Philippines. Many experts called Typhoon Haiyan historic in its scope. The width of this massive cyclone was 370 miles, with sustained winds of 195 mph, and gusts reaching 235 mph.  But, the Phillippines is not alone.

Just in the United States, over 400 people each year die from natural disasters, and affects almost 900,000 people, who may not have lost their life, but lost their life's belongings; things they may have called precious to them at one time, such as their home, their family pictures, their family pets, even their courage.  Annually disasters in the U.S. cause over $18 millon in damages to families and businesses.

In the 21st century, Japan has been the site of some of the 10 worst natural disasters, which include tsunamis, floods, earthquakes, typhoons and volcanic eruptions.

This is just to name a few.

Call To Action
Per the United Nations, hundreds of millions of dollars are needed to provide supplies and services to those who have been affected by natural disasters in the United States and all over the world.

Helping people and communities to rebuild is not going to be a quick fix.  It's going to take time.  Medical care, food and water are immediate and vital items necessary now when people have lost so much.  To say the least, homes need to be rebuilt, communities made whole and most of all, families brought back to health, physically and spiritually.

Let's Help Rebuild
We are not in a position to donate a lot of money, so we need your help.  That is why we decided to open this Let's Help Rebuild fundraiser site and we are making a donation of 10% of all of our commissions earned through (Vitamix and health care products, plus FREE smoothie recipes for the whole family) and wines purchased through affiliate site

We encourage you to use this forum to make a monetary donation even if you don't purchase, and tell your friends.

Even though, no matter what we do to rebuild, may not make it a Garden of Eden to those affected by natural disasters, we believe that we can give them a small piece of paradise, a peaceful place to live and comfort, a place they can call home again.

The organization we trust to handle the fundraiser funds is the Watchtower and Tract organization.  If you need more information on the organization, their donation process and natural disaster projects, please go to

The Jehovah's Witnesses continue their relief efforts in the Philippines.  With no paid volunteers or workers, Jehovah's Witnesses formed five disaster relief committees in order to maximize their efforts to continue to assist Typhoon Haiyan's victims.

Over 190 tons of supplies were sent to the central Philippines, and Witnesses from ten countries had offered to assist in relief efforts.  Currently, there are over 2,000 homes being rebuilt or repaired, along with much needed medical support.

The Witnesses had set up a relocation site near Calbayog City, Samar wherein 225 people are still living in tents; 20 percent of those at this relocation site are non-Jehovah's Witnesses.

Latest statistics from this most powerful super storm:

  • 6,201 Dead
  • 1,785 Still missing
  • 28,000 injured
  • Over 1 Million homes damaged

As you can imagine, it will take a long time to fully rebuild the Philippines from this massive typhoon.  Food, supplies and volunteers continue to go to the Philippines and this, no doubt, will be necessary for the next few years.

We have decided to use the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Jehovah's Witnesses since they do not take out a percentage for their work, plus they provide relief efforts to those in their organization and those who are not associated with them.  We have read how this organization has helped other countries and were very imprssed.
