The Story

As many of you have seen, on Saturday the 25th of April a magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit Nepal near the capital of Kathmandu.  It has flattened homes, buildings and temples, causing widespread damage across the region and killing more than 1,800 people. Hospitals have filled up with hundreds more injured.

Nepal has very limited resources, with organised relief and rescue lacking, residents used their bare hands, crowbars and other tools to dig through rubble and rescue survivors.

I spent some time in Nepal working with a good friend of mine called Ganesh Nuepane. I've started this fundraiser to help Ganesh survive through this extreme time.  His house has been damaged beyond repair and it is too dangerous for he and his family including his Wife, Daughter, Mother and Father to stay there. Currently they are sleeping outside in makeshift tents while they wait and see what their next move will be.

My friend Ganesh is an honest man and all that have met him can account for his kindness and generosity. Ganesh works in tourism and so will be severely affected by this natural disaster. It will take a long time for Nepal to recover along with it's tourism industry, as such he and his family face much uncertainty in the coming months.

I understand that millions have been displaced and are facing similar situations, but this is my way of trying to help where I can.

The money raised will help at least 5 people directly, but knowing Ganesh's generosity, i'm sure it will help more.  I will transfer all money to Ganesh myself and update those interested on how his family are coping.

Please donate whatever you can, Nepal is a very poor country and our dollar can go a really long way.

Lets help a good man and his family and repay some of his generosity. The money will go towards food shelter and medical supplies.

**If you don't have a credit or debit card, you can email me at [email protected] and i'll give you my bank details, I'll add it myself to this page with your name**

Thankyou!

Fundraiser Updates

Hey everyone, Just a quick update to let you know how things are going over in Nepal.

Ganesh and a team of 4 others are helping some very poor villages where there is no food.  They have just finished supplying tin roofing for his own village which has 75 families living there.  This will help shelter them through the upcoming Monsoonal rains.

Ganesh is heading to a remote village tomorrow to distribute food and emergency supplies for 125 families from 2 different villages.  This area is only 3km from the earthquakes epicentre so most of the buildings/homes where destroyed.

So your money is doing amazing things for the people of one of the hardest hit region.

Thanks again for your support,

Jason

Just an update after the latest earthquake to hit Nepal,  Ganesh and family are all safe.

Ganesh has gone to his home village where all 75 families lost there homes to help build shelters.  The Monsoonal rains are fast approaching and so shelter is desperately needed.
The money raised so far has been transferred to Ganesh and I will update you on any progress.
