Please support the Trinity High School GAP Club’s annual Walk-a-Thon fundraiser benefitting the homeless dogs and cats from the Euless Animal Shelter! This unique group of high school girls, school sponsors and volunteers are hoping to raise $5,000 to help many Euless shelter pets in need of boarding and vet care!! In 2013, Trinity GAP assisted over 400 dogs and cats from the Euless Animal Shelter in finding homes! Many of these pets required major vet services such as leg amputations, setting broken bones, treatments for parvo, respiratory illnesses, etc. etc. etc!! Donations make it possible for GAP to help heal these precious pets so they are well again and more easily adoptable!! (Please read about Riley in "Updates" -- his graphic picture is posted in the gallery as well. The perpetrator of this horrendous crime is in jail facing criminal charges.)
An anonymous donor will match donations up to our total goal amount of $5,000!! This is such a great opportunity to double your donation and help SO many pets in need! Just think, if we raise our $5,000 goal amount, it will double to $10,000! We are so excited at this possibility!! We can’t do it without your generosity, so please make a donation today and watch it double! No donation is too small--$5 becomes $10 and $10 becomes $20…! What a great opportunity to make a huge difference for these shelter pets!!

There are no provisions for dogs and cats who come into the shelter sick or injured. All vet care is provided thru donations to Trinity GAP. Medical needs for these shelter pets is ongoing and without these vet services many pets have little chance of being adopted. We understand how hard it is for families to incur the expenses to adopt pets with major illnesses or injuries. If we can make these pets whole again, and help them find good homes, our mission is accomplished. Through donations, Trinity GAP also provides boarding to save the lives of pets when the shelter is full. The Euless Animal Shelter is a small municipal shelter and when there is no more room, there is no more room—and pets must be relocated to save their lives. Our foster homes are often full so boarding becomes our only option. Boarding expenses have been extensive this year and we couldn’t afford it without so many generous donations.

The Trinity GAP Club (Girls Awareness Program) is an all-girls club that functions through Trinity High School in Euless, TX. The mission of Trinity GAP Club is to give these high school girls a positive outlet for their time and to show them positive alternatives for their lives. One of their community service projects is volunteering with the Euless Animal Shelter and sponsoring as many animals as their funds allow to provide spay/neuter, shots, and other vetting costs for the pets. Adoption fees collected from sponsored pets recycle back into their program so they can continue to vet as many pets as possible. There are always unforeseen medical expenses so they do fund-raisers such as bake sales, t-shirt sales, tamale sales, etc. PLUS they have an annual "Pet Shower" and collect donations for OTHER rescues and shelters and in their spare time they host 2 Pet Fairs annually to raise funds and promote adoptions for these homeless animals. They have made a huge difference in lowering the euthanasia rate of this shelter and it is a fact that many dogs and cats would not be alive today if not for their efforts. They have won many local and state awards!
