But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. ~ Ephesians 2:4-7 (NKJV)
July 27th, on the way back from church camp, their was a terrible bus accident which claimed the lives of three dedicated followers of Christ, including Tonya (Grahn) Weindorf. While the details of the accident are still emerging from the chaotic post-traumatic fog, one thing is certain. This is a family which needs to be shown the love of Christ in fantastic ways.
Tonya was a servant and friend to many people, but she would find most joy in being remembered as a servant of the living God and a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband Chuck and five children: Gretta, Emily, Carl, Conrad, and Marta.
Gretta is a student at Maranatha Bible College and will be returning to school soon. With this comes educational expenses.
Emily will be beginning her first-year as a pre-med/bio student at Cedarville University. Another great educational expense.
Carl is in highschool with Marta following close behind.
Conrad has Down's syndrome, cannot speak well due to medical conditions, and requires significant care.
Here are the ways in which the donations may be used:
- Educational fund for all 5 kids
- Long term care for Conrad
- Medical expenses
- Memorial services
Money will be presented on October 27th, the 3 month aniversary. A partial ammount may be presented if the need arises. Updates will be posted.
