My name is Rachel and I am writing this to help our mom, Debbie, relocate from Florida to Ohio.
Mom was a single parent raising 4 kids in an impoverished city. It was not uncommon for her to find it difficult to make ends meet on a single income with 4 growing kids. After years of struggling, she saw a silver lining in an opportunity to move to Florida, which offered better job possibilities. So in the year 2000 she relocated.
She quickly found work as a screen printer and fell in love with her job. She found that she was pretty good at what did, helping to build her confidence along the way. Because of these reasons she had been adding designs to clothing for over a decade.
Unfortunately, her job was very demanding, standing long hours on her feet and placing her health at risk by working with harmful adhesives and chemicals. And more importantly, she wasn't able to escape the financial instability she faced in Ohio. Florida may have actually been more brutal on her than Ohio ever was.
She has been contemplating moving back to Ohio for a few years but found it difficult to save the necessary funds required for such a big move. She also found it hard to grapple with the idea of leaving her job that she absolutely loved. The decision was made up for her when she left her job a little under a month ago. Unsafe work conditions and health problems factored into reasons why she found it necessary to walk away.
With money running out, she needs $2000 for all the expenses incurred by moving 2000 miles across country. She is ready to come back to the area she grew up in, be closer to family and friends.
Mom has always been the type of person to help others out in any way she can regardless if it puts a strain on her financially. Basically, if you need it and she has it, she'll give it to you. No questions asked.
Her kids would now like to turn the tables and help her out. Her oldest son (my husband) and I do not have the funds to cover her upfront costs of moving, (we have recently incurred some debt of our own with the injury and surgery of our dog which has put us in a financial bind ourselves), but we wish tomove her into our home until she gets back on her feet. If we can just get her up here, we know we can get her situated andrelieve some of the stress that she has been enduring.
We are hoping that we can raise money for her through this site. No donation is too big or small. Every bit helps. So this is why I am asking for your help to make mom's wishes come true.
Thank You & God Bless!
