I know many of you have been following me on Facebook as I post updates on my cancer journey. Thank you so much for each one of your encouraging comments. It’s meant a lot to me.
The latest news is I have stage 4 colorectal cancer which has spread to my right lung. I also have a partial bowel obstruction from the growing cancer in my belly, (surgery is no longer and option). This makes it impossible to eat regular food without throwing up. I am nauseated constantly, throwing up often (even on an all-liquid diet) and am generally weak and tired all of the time. And yet, though the doctors say I may have only a few months to live, I respectfully know that only God knows the day and the hour. So I keep going!
With Puppet School closing, my income has gone down and I don’t make enough on Disability to cover all my expenses. And I can’t work because I’m now disabled from the 6 cancer surgeries. So it’s kind of a catch 22. And I certainly don't have any funds for end-of-life expenses.
I reached out to you before for help and you were so generous with your love, encouragement and finances. I’m coming to you again for a little assistance. Whatever you could give would be greatly appreciated and will allow me not to worry each month how I’m going to pay all of my bills. The added stress on my body has not been good. My body and emotions have been so challenged over the past 3 years. I’m trying to get strength and weight back, but I think the stress has been preventing me from overcoming that hurdle.
Yes, I could die in a few months, or I may not. In the meantime, it would be lovely if my family and friends would rally once again for my cause of keeping Michael Earl alive!
