The Inn of Glen Haven dates back to 1919. Over the years it has been a brothel, a general store, a post office and most recently an Inn and fine dining restaurant. The inn had been up for sale for about a year and a half when Sheila and Tom Sellers bought it in 1989. Sheila worked for Quest at the time and worked in Boulder during the day while Tom renewed the inn – both Sheila and Tom worked at the inn every evening and during the weekends.
Sheila’s goal was to bring the inn back to its glory years when Father Bill Wells was the innkeeper and started the Twelve Days of Christmas celebration in 1965. Well known in the region, this celebration continued for 24 years until the devastation of the flood of September, 2013 closed the inn and left the town of Glen Haven in shambles.
Many have stayed at the Inn over the years and enjoyed its Victorian charm and the peaceful surroundings of Glen Haven. Now the inn needs its water system restored (well and filtration system supplied), first floor completely refurbished, the kitchen gutted and replaced including heating, refrigeration and stoves.
Please help the Inn with their rebuilding.
