Hi, my name is Brett Huelsman and I am just a regular guy who lives in Bismarck, ND. I have already made plans to run the Fargo Half-Marathon this coming May 18th. However, in light of the recent tragedy at the 2013 Boston Marathon, I have decided to create a donation page in which my friends, family and kind strangers can pledge donations towards the individuals and families affected by the recent Boston Marathon tragedy.
Having been an athlete all of my life (whether or not I was a good athlete), I have learned that sporting events can create an incredible amount of joy, friendship, teamwork and camaraderie amongst us. To see the images of a joyous event such as the Boston Marathon turn into such a tragic, horrific and down right unfathomable day in American history has caused me to want to help, in any way I can, restore the positive feelings in which an event such as the Boston Marathon has and will continue to give American and International citizens alike.
If you would like to donate to this cause, I would greatly appreciate anything you choose to donate. If you are unable to donate, even some positive words or a cheer for me at the event in Fargo would be appreciated to will my out of shape 28 year old body across that finish line;)
All charity donations will be donated to One Fund Boston. A fund, which will raise money for families most affected by the bombings.
Thank you for your support and God bless.
