"It's so funny how something as simple as a puppy can make even the hardest, toughened soldier melt upon a few kisses to the face."

A Marine & His Dog~Cuoma's Story:
My name is Luke. I was an MP K9 Handler in the Marine Corps until an accident left me unable to perform my duties and I was medically retired. I worked very hard on rehabilitation and later was given an opportunity to become an Explosive Detection Dog Handler with private security companies. I have worked many contracts with quite a few different dogs. I have grown a bond with all of my dogs but there is something special about Couma. Maybe it's the excitement she has when I come around, or the drive she has to work. She is so loving. I have a bond with her that I cannot explain. Most people do not understand the love we have for our dogs. It is indescribable. I have worked with this dog everyday for a year in dangerous work conditions. Couma is nearing the end of her working life and is eligible for retirement. My family and I have been given a wonderful opportunity to adopt Couma. I have a wife, 5 year old son and 7 month old daughter at home that are very anxious to meet the newest member of our family. Couma has been the topic of discussion between us for a while now. My son talks frequently about all the fun things we can do with Couma to show our appreciation to her for keeping Daddy safe. He wants to tell her thank you, walk her, hug and kiss her, lay next to her. He wants her home! I cannot imagine Couma going anywhere after retirement then home with my family where she is already loved. Recently we were all heartbroken because our initial plans of bringing her home were shattered. We found Puppy Rescue Mission and were thrilled that there may still be a way to get her home. The tears of sadness quickly turned to tears of hope and joy as we set out to find a new way to get her to Pennsylvania to her family where she belongs. Please help us get her home to us!

This Marine & Family has set aside $3000 for Cuoma's transport. That was what they told him it would take to bring her home. They have since changed that to $7000. He cannot afford $7000 so Puppy Rescue Mission is asking for your help to keep this team united. He just cannot leave her behind. Semper Fi & We will not leave Cuoma behind.
Thank You Men and Women for your service to our country. It is because of your dedication that we live in The Land of the Free, Because of the Brave. Paw Salute!

The primary mission of Puppy Rescue Mission is to raise funds & assist various organizations which help soldiers bring home their furry friends from war. While PRM's primary mission is to assist soldiers and their furry friends, PRM will also, from time to time, assist an organization in re-homing a stray animal.
