The greatest gift anyone could receive is a helping hand for someone who whole heartedly gave to so many. Theresa was active with her own 8 children, (7 boys) devoted to church, volunteer work, loved sports, cub scouts and much more all while working fulltime until her retirement. Theresa was a den mother for over 50 years, spent almost everyday working in the church kitchen, setting up for special events, weekly bingo, sang in the choir, was a member of numerous church clubs and ran their food pantry for the needy. She was also a volunteer board member of the neighborhood community group. She played softball, field hockey and basketball in her youth and then bowled, golfed and even pitched softball at the age of 70 being pitcher of the year at that age while most other players were half her age. She was lovingly called "The Energizer Bunny" as she just kept on going and giving. She opened her heart and home to every child, friend or family, without ever judging, only caring. Her 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild became an all important part of her life because of her loving, 57 year marriage to her husband Tony. They both showed us all what true love was all about, and what it takes to make your house a home. During her final year of life, she became ill with Heart Failure and anemia, which devastated her due to limited activity. She still was a supporter of her grandchildren's sports and cheered them on from the sidelines. She continued to give, love and support everyone until she no longer had the strength to do so. Any donations given beyond the targeted amount will be forwarded to the CHOW food pantry in Theresa's name.
