Caitlin was a beautiful girl who loved life and was very involved in many activites. She was a varsity cheerleader, varsity soccer player, a competition cheerleader and a member of various clubs. She worked just as hard as she played. She was an active member of Christian Life Church. Caitlin was killed in a car accident in March of 2010. She was not wearing a seat belt and may have been texting and driving. We are raising awareness by having students write essays on why they should wear their seatbelt and not to text and drive. The money collected goes to the recipiants of these essays. Caitlin very much wanted to attend the University of Alabama and persue a career in Sports Medicine. Her life was cut short due to a simple decsion that we want people to be aware of. We have a golf tournament that we raise money for the scholarships. So far in the four years since this happened we have given $20,000 away to many students persuing their dreams. As her family, we want to continue this tradition in her honor. Caitlin would have wanted us to help as many people as we can because she would have given you the shirt off her back to help. Caitlin spirit lives on in many ways and this makes us (her family) very proud of the girl we know she was.
