Dear Family and Friends,
As some of you may have heard, our Sandra has recently had some medical complications with a severe illness. In late January, a tumor was found in Sandra's chest. Soon after she was admitted to City of Hope hospital in Duarte, CA. She had a biopsy on February 6th which was a very risky procedure due to the location of the tumor. Sandra unfortunately suffered some severe complications following the procedure which caused one of her lungs to collapse. She is in serious but stable condition at City of Hope. We ask that no one other than immediate family come to visit during this difficult time.
At this point in time the doctors do not have a diagnosis for her tumor, but have said that the cancer is very rare. She has a great team of doctors and nurses with her every hour of the day and they are working very hard on helping her lung function improve as well as trying to diagnose her illness. We are very thankful for the service provided at City of Hope.
What can you do to help?
We would first and foremost like to ask for all of your prayers to heal Sandra. God is good and prayers heal.
Secondly, due to Sandra's current fragile state, she is in dire need of platelets and blood donations. Your platelet and blood donations can be made directly at Childrens Hospital in LA. You may make an appointment with the blood donor center by calling (323) 361-2441. Walk-ins are also welcomed. Your donations can be made in Sandra's name and if they're compatible with Sandra's blood type they may be given to her directly. We ask that you do not be discouraged to donate if your blood type does not match, Our family is also trying to replenish the blood supply that Childrens Hospital has graciously already provided to Sandra.
There will be a benefit held for Sandra on Sunday March 9th at St. Frances of Rome Parish Hall in Azusa, CA. Tickets are $10 and will include a lunch plate and beverage. Details of the event can be found here.
We have set up this donation page to help support Sandra's medical needs as well as any needs that her family may have in this difficult time. Any donations are welcome. 100% of the donations go directly to Sandra and her Family.
Any questions regarding donations and/or benefit details feel free to contact Tony Lopez at (626) 513-5967. Please text first before calling.
Thank you for all and any donations as well as any concerns.
