I am writing this letter to introduce myself as the organizer of a charity to benefit a local man who is presently battling cancer. Brian Palmer was recently diagnosed with testicular cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Cancer is a disease that affects patients in many different aspects. It is certainly an emotional rollercoaster. In addition to fighting to beat this debilitating disease and survive, Brian is faced with the increasing costs surrounding his illness and treatment. To ensure that Brian and his family’s energy are focused on his treatments and not the expenses, we have organized to create “Friends of Brian”, a fundraising effort to help alleviate any financial strains.
“Friends of Brian” is asking for your support of this young man. While we realize that many charities have solicited help, we ask for your consideration. In order to show Brian that community supports his battle, we have created this website to help Brian manage his household financial obligations as well as his medical expenses. 100% of all the proceeds from the donations will be deposited into an account for Brian and his family to access for his medical and personal needs during this difficult time.
We will be hosting a dinner benefit on November 15, 2013 at the Hudson Elks club from 6-10:30 pm. “A Night Out for Brian” we will be raising money for Brian through generous donations and sponsorship. The night will be filled with family fun including dinner, live music, dancing, candy buffet, raffles, silent auction and a 50/50. If you are interested in attending “A Night Out for Brian” please call or email me for tickets. Tickets will also be available at the door. Please follow us on Facebook : A Night out for Brian Palmer.
A federal tax ID number has been established for this fundraising effort. For your records, the tax ID number is 30-0796179. The bank account that has been established is located at Unibank 10 Cheney St. Blackstone Ma 01504 and direct donations can be made to “Friends of Brian” CO: Heather Lannon.
Thanks so much for your support, Heather Lannon: Benefit Coordinator
