At the core of Common Hands Farm is our mission to promote a culture that nourishes the local community. We live and breathe growing vegetables and support the land and communities around it. However, equitable food practices are being threatened from various angles in our current society. Small farmers like us are struggling to keep up with industrial agriculture, which pollutes the Earth and even the nutrition of our food. Moreover, families of low income simply do not have the means to access fresh, nutritious food. We want to change this.
With this campaign, we hope to give 10 to 20 CSA food shares to families or individuals of low income, either in the form of financial assistance or full financial support for those in greater need. The CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) model is essential to our farm. By joining our CSA one will not only receive a weekly abundance of fresh vegetables, but also support your local farmer early in the season to grow your food all season long. This is key to engaging in the local community and responding to the food injustices our society faces. With the Share it Forward Campaign, your gift will make powerful impacts.
Please join us in our mission to make good food available for all. Donate today.
