Marching to the Arch!
Middle school students from Young Scholars of Central Pennsylvania Charter School (YSCP) competed with 22 teams at the First Lego League (FLL) PA Central Championship on Saturday, February 25th in Johnstown.
Roboscholars were recognized for their performance in four categories: core values, project, robot design and performance. In recognition of these accomplishments, the team won the Champion’s Award. This award qualifies Roboscholars to compete in First Lego League World Festival in St. Louis from April 26th-29th. This festival celebrates Science and Technology across the world and includes more than 100 teams: five teams from Pennsylvania, 58 teams from other states in the US and 42 teams from Europe, Asia and the Far East. Worldwide more than 260,000 students participated in FLL robotics competitions.
For the past six years Roboscholars have participated in regional Robotics competitions. In 2015, the team was selected to participate at World robotic competition and won third place design award.
This year, Roboscholars have again placed first in their region and have been invited to FLL World Festival. Help this Central Pennsylvania’s robotics team realize their dream of once again attending the world’s competition in St. Louis, Mo.
Your generous donations will help cover registration fees, travel expenses, meals and lodging for the nine students and the two coaches that will be attending this five day prestigious event. The Roboscholars robotics team thanks you for your support in helping them in their “march to the arch” and competing at this year’s FLL World’s Festival.
