WHAT IS THE NEW CHAMPIONS WOMENSPHERE INCUBATOR NETWORK?
The New Champions Womensphere Incubator Network (WIN) is the operating arm of the New Champions 5050 global initiative (http://www.newchampions.org).
We are building a global network of ecosystems and incubators to inspire, educate, train, and empower women and girls in leadership, innovation, management, entrepreneurship, sustainability, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & design, mathematics), and a set of important core skills including problem-solving skills, technology skills, communication skills, financial skills, creative & design thinking skills, and personal growth skills.
Through the New Champions WIN, we will inspire and empower women and girls to grow & emerge as leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs in their communities and workplaces, all over the world – 1 million women & girls by 2020, and 1 billion women & girls by 2030.
You can find out more about this on our website: https://www.newchampions.org/womensphereincubatornetwork/
Our work was also recently recognized by UBS, which honored me as a UBS Global Visionary for empowering women and girls. On this UBS video, I share more about our work:http://www.ubs.com/microsites/global-visionaries/en/visions/analisabalares.html
WHY IS OUR WORK IMPORTANT?
In a world of increasing conflict, tensions, and division, we need to empower half of the world’s population – women and girls – to rise as leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs; foster inclusive growth; participate in building peace; be champions of sustainability, and help create a better future.
However, from the latest World Economic Forum Gender Gap Report, this vision seems 170 years away: “At the current rate of change, and given the widening economic gender gap since last year, (the global gender gap) will not be closed for another 170 years.”
Now more than ever, we need women and men to be equal architects and creators of the future of humanity and our planet.
We need to unleash the potential of half of the world’s population: women and girls, who have traditionally been undervalued and underinvested.
Beyond that, we need to develop and empower more women and girls to lead, to invent and innovate, to succeed as entrepreneurs, to architect solutions to our world’s greatest challenges, and to create a better future for humanity and our planet. We need more women to lead governments, create laws, ascend as leaders of institutions and communities, advance in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & design, and mathematics), and be champions of sustainability and achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
We believe that unlocking women’s full potential is necessary to advancing the evolution of our global society. We believe in the critical, catalytic role that women play in transforming the world. We believe in the power of diversity to fuel innovation and creative solutions. We believe in the power of community to build and nurture positive change.
This purpose is at the very heart of the New Champions Womensphere Incubator Network.
We hope you can support us, and be among the Founding Contributors, Founding Supporters, and Founding Patrons of the New Champions Womensphere Incubator Network.
Please consider contributing to our campaign - $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1000, $2,500, $5,000, $10,000, or more – if you can contribute today or this weekend – you will double your impact, as your contribution will be matched by our generous donor!
The funds will go to the Womensphere Foundation, our New York-based non-profit organization, and will be tax-deductible.
Join us in empowering a world of women and girls to create a better future!
