45 Compasses were hand delivered to Congress on March 8, 2017 and 486 Compasses were mailed to Congress on March 31, 2017, completing our campaign.
As of April 2, 2017, the first round of this campaign is complete. THANK YOU to everyone who donated, spread the word or dropped off the compasses. This was a team effort, and we've sent an important message to our representatives. Keep the pressure on! For more, visit www.wheresyourmoralcompass.com/resources

ORIGINAL FROM FEBRUARY - MARCH 2017:
We are sending 535 compasses to Congress - asking them one question "Where's Your Moral Compass?"
Why? Because it looks like most of them have lost theirs.
A $5 donation will help support one compass. Check our our plan here: www.wheresyourmoralcompass.com
So why Congress? Because they work for the American people, not Steve Bannon. And if you've been following their work lately, you might be frustrated, annoyed, disenchanted, disgusted, demoralized, shocked or surprised at their willingness to give their power over to our conspiracy-theorist in chief, aka President Donald Trump.
Congress is supposed to be our first source of checks and balances. They must do their jobs. But lately, most of them are avoiding town halls with their constituents, dismantling ethics requirements, and launching bills to dismantle the fundamental agencies that defend consumer rights, women's rights, civil rights, environmental clean up efforts, and more. It's beyond disappointing. Congress must be held accountable and they have to investigate Trump's ties to Russia, look into his finances and protect our environment by remaining in the Paris Climate Treaty.

With each compass, there's a postcard note, which says:
Dear [elected official],
You represent us in Washington. You speak for us. We expect you to maintain checks and balances, including ensuring that the President preserves, protects and defends the Constitution of the United States.
This is a democracy, not an autocracy. We are sure you don't want to go down in history as the leader of the generation that broke America. Do you?
We are counting on you. Sincerely,
The American People
To those who are doing a great job fighting for our rights, we'll send a note of thanks!
That list is pretty short, so we're also interested in finding reasons to send them a "keep it up" note versus a "where's your moral compass?" note. Send us stories of reps doing good things (i.e. protecting: civil liberties, the constitution, respect for the judicial branch, and those who don't want to abolish the EPA, an institution originally created by Republicans, those who don't want to destroy the tourism industry or splendor of the public parks system and those who are willing to keep the investigation going on Trump's connections to Russia and his disgust against ethically removing himself from his own businesses.)
The list is short right now:
- JOHN MCCAIN
- LINDSEY GRAHAM
- KIRSTEN GILLIBRAND
- AL FRANKEN
- SHELDON WHITEHOUSE
- COREY BOOKER
- GARY PETERS
- BERNIE SANDERS
- ELIZABETH WARREN
- JOHN CONYERS, JR.
- JOHN LEWIS
- BEN SASSE
- NANCY PELOSI
- MAXINE WATERS
- DARRELL ISSA
- DEBBIE STABENOW
- KAMALA HARRIS
