There is a family that is near and dear to our hearts, because we traveled with them in China and we adopted our children right alongside each other. Bree and Cody were such a support and help for us during that disorienting and rocky beginning, in part, because they had already gone through the process once before. Lucy was their first adoption, and this time they were traveling to China to bring Vincent Chenke into their family. Vincent is the sweetest guy, usually laughing and sharing his snacks with whoever seems interested. He is so full of life and personality, so when we saw his admission photos to the orphanage, it was a shock to the heart. Vincent was in dire need in the beginning months of his life, severely malnourished, with a cleft lip and palette. He was taken to Show Hope [www.showhope.org] because of his acute medical needs, and in the following months and years, he was brought back to life and joy! Thanks be to God for His work through Show Hope. This child has overcome so much, and I was amazed to walk beside the Hutchins as they got to know their new, energetic, full-of-life son. Since our time China, I have had it on my heart to raise funds for Vincent's medical costs. To see a life transformed like his, and the possibility for more hope and healing for Vincent's brave soul, I am compelled to join the Hutchins family in this way. Vincent has had to undergo a methodical dental surgery, tooth by tooth, for his many decaying and abscessing young teeth. He will also have to have his cleft palette repaired in August, as well as any ongoing oral surgeries in the future. Please consider joining us, and partnering financially with this brave family as they reach to meet all of Vincent's medical needs. It takes a community of brothers and sisters to come alongside Jesus as He repairs this world. Through the Hutchins, He is repairing the loss of family for this sweet boy, and through medicine He will repair a cleft palette and a big smile :) Through each of us, He can provide generously for this family in a way so common to the Kingdom of God. His Kingdom of grace, of undeserved favor, is the place where gifts are given to us because of His great love. Please consider how you can give a little of the Kingdom to this courageous family.
