The Story

On April 25, 2017, Victoria went in for a normal womanly exam. The news she received are words I do not wish on anyone. Cancer. She had been diagnosed with Stage II Cervical Cancer and has a long battle ahead of her.

She had her first appointment on May 1st with her oncologist, and they told her that chemotherapy and radiation will be the next steps. They intend to start within the next couple of weeks. She will soon get a petscan to ensure that it has not spread to her ovaries as well.

It has been an emotional week for her, her family and friends. Not only did she find out that she has cancer, but she will no longer be able to have children either. They told her she has the option of seeing a fertility doctor to freeze her eggs but that would potentially increase the chances of spreading the cancer cells.

We all know medical expenses are not cheap. She is blessed with a beautiful daughter and tons of family and friends to help her. Please consider being a part of her support army.

She will need financial help, dinners are welcome, and she loves to have company visit her to keep her mind off things. Prayer warriors, we need you too! She is the strongest person I know and I know she will get through this.

"You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and the manner in which you live. So live. Live. Fight like hell. And when you get too tired to fight, lay down and rest and let somebody else fight for you." - Stuart Scott

It was surgery day!! After 5 hours or so Victoria is out and looking great! The doctor's were successful in taking everything out and were able to put her expanders in. While they were in there, they went ahead and tested her lymph nodes on one side to ensure nothing has spread. She will be in the hospital for a couple of days and then head home. If you are interested in bringing her dinner please feel free to call, text or message either one of us.

Thank you for all the love and prayers! Victoria, her entire family and myself TRULY appreciate all the love and support!! One surgery down and two more to go. #victoriausbattle

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to post an update for you on how Victoria is doing. Victoria has begun her internal radiation  treatments and let's face it, it is not a pleasant. But she is a strong and fierce woman! Side effects are kicking in from her chemotherapy. She has been getting bloody noses, ringing in her ear and a bladder infection.

She met met with an ENT doctor to get her ears and nose checked out and everything seems to be fine. She also is on antibiotics for her bladder infection.

Yesterday, she met with a new breast surgeon to get a second opinion and WE LOVE HER! I say we because if Victoria loves her and feels super comfortable with her, then I do too haha! She will still be receiving a bilateral mastectomy and is shooting for late July, early August.

She will be meeting with the plastic surgeon soon to choose her brand new breasts! Victoria wants a "boob voyage" party so we can say good-bye to her current breasts, so keep an eye out for details if you would like to join us!

Also, sorry a meal train was never posted. Her work schedule keeps changing so it was hard to keep up with it. But if you would still like to bring her dinner, Thursday nights are always a good night. They are her long days with internal radiation so she is usually tuckered out from the day.

Please continue to keep her in your prayers. Pray for the surgeons who are prepping for her surgery, that they will do the best they can to help Victoria. Please also continue to share her story. We want to bring awareness to others so they may prevent any of this happening to them.

We are again so thankful for all the love the love and support!! You guys continue to give her strength.
