Puerto Rico has been absolutely amazing to us and we've met some incredible people along the way. At this time, February 14th, we do not have anyone on the ground.
We are working on reorganizing and regrouping our organization to be better prepared for the next disaster.
As you know, funding will always be needed to ensure we may be one of the first with boots on the ground.
Thank you to everyone who has given and contining give and support VDR. YOU are the reason WE can deploy and help these families.
Be sure to follow our FB page https://www.facebook.com/Veterandisasterrelief for updates. We do continue to work toward the next goal of helping and connecting veterans.
Veteran Disaster Relief believes that the skills acquired by men and women in the military, are a huge asset we can use to assist people affected by disasters.
Every disaster situation is unique in its need for specific skill sets of volunteers. Military trained individuals, have been trained to assess their surrounding, adapt to its conditions, and thrive both as a self starter, and as a team for the benefit of all involved.
Your funds are so important to us! We use funding for for transport and rescue, generators, basic medical assessments, food and water distribution to those in distress, and all forms of relief both at home, abroad, or onsite as each disaster community begins their road to recovery. Thank you for teaming up with us!
Veteran Disaster Relief reserves the right to modify the directive of any funds received over and above the budget of the solicited purpose or specific disaster relief effort, and apply those to our general fund, and future disaster relief.
