I am an 8 or 9 years old, 6 lbs big boy. I was rescued with seven of my friends from a backyard breeder who barely took care of us. I spent my life in a metal crate until I was rescued and adopted by my mom, Nina.
At first I was very shy and afraid of going outside, I cowered when my mom would pick me up, and I would only eat my meals when all humans were at a safe distance from me. It only took few days for me to learn to potty outside and walk on a leash. I get very excited when my mom comes home from work and wag my tail and run around. I also enjoy car rides!
Only six weeks after I was adopted I stopped wanting to eat, I got tired and less energetic, lost about a pound of weight and the vet found that something is very wrong with my liver. They decided to keep me in the hospital to figure out what’s wrong with me. I was for four days and my mom visited me every day.
My bills just for the hospitalization ended up to be $4,000 and my mom has been paying them off as well as buying my medications which cost more that $100 each month. It turned out to be worth it though because after months of TLC and treatment I am doing great and I am the happiest little boy.
We could still use any help though as my next check-up is coming up and my vet visits with all the tests usually cost between $150-200. Any amount will help and be appreciated!
