The Story

As many of you have heard, our very good friend Tom Yamarone had a massive stroke on February 5th. This news was quite shocking and quickly spread throughout the entire Bigfoot community as well as all of his friends and family.

Tom's stroke has paralyzed him on one side and has just started going through extensive rehabilitation process that will take all our love and support to ensure Tom can have hope of a full recovery. Although he has insurance, a majority of these extra "not covered" expenses will be adding up and will most definitely put some serious pressure on his family in this time of high stress and many questions.  His wife Marilee and daughter Angela could most definitely use our support.

As most of you know, Tom is known as the "Bob Dylan of Bigfoot" on the west coast and the "Johnny Cash of Bigfoot" on the east coast. His many years of support of the entire Bigfoot community include events like the John Green Tribute, Ohio Bigfoot Conference, and the Bob Gimlin Tribute. His dedication to our community and close friendship with the great Bob Gimlin has brought out many smiles all across the country. The time he has put into the community is second to none. To top it off, his musical talents and loads of just plain awesome Bigfoot songs have been a staple in our community for many years.

I beg each and everyone of you to help Tom and his family out and make donation to his cause. Every dollar raised will ensure his family will be taken care of and rehabilitation continues with the best health care possible. To even fathom the thought of Tom not being able to play his guitar is just gut wrenching and we need to band together and help Tom in his time of most need. And we all know very well if we were in need, Tom would most definitely contribute to our cause.

In all the years I've dealt with people, I consider Tom one of my best and most trusted friends. He is the most caring and compassionate person I've ever met and I'm honored to call him my friend. We love you Tom!

Once again, I can't express the gratitude and generosity that all of you have provided for Tom Yamarone and his family during these very scary and unfamiliar times. Marilee, Angela and the rest of the Yamarone's greatly appreciate all the love and support. We've crested the $10,000 mark in only a week which is truly amazing. Now we need all of you to help take it to the next level by sharing this fundraiser via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Please pass the good vibes!!

Tom is slowly progressing in his rehab getting six treatments a day. It's a long and tedious process and he is working his rear end off. We need to keep the support and love coming. Words of encouragement are a must and can truly inspire him to take his rehab to the next level. I know Tom can do this and he WILL. Lets keep him in our prayers and keep him on our minds. People can be a powerful weapon in defeating darkness. Lets give Yams all the support we can. Thanks again for all your support. Love you Yams! #YAMSROCKS

Sincerely,

Marc A. DeWerth

Hello everyone,

I just want thank you for the utmost generosity that you have all provided in assisting the Yamarone family with this very heavy burden. Tom's rehab is getting quite intense with six sessions a day and constantly being move around.

I talked to Tom last night and his spirits (I could hear it in his voice) are starting to be lifted by all the love that not only his family, but the entire Bigfoot community has provided. The cards, the gifts, and especially the financial contributions are really starting to make a serious impact on Tom's determination to to kick rehabs rear end and get back to the "Yams" we all know and love.

Here's a huge challenge for all of us. For most of us, today is payday... please consider to make a financial contribution to the Yamarone family today or this weekend so we can get closer to our $20,000 goal. Rehabilitation is so expensive so every dollar really counts.

I will start by adding another $50 from my pocket to set an example of the love that I have for Tom and his family. Thank you all again in this time need :-) #YAMSROCKS

Sincerely,

Marc A. DeWerth

Hello friends,

Just wanted thank each and every of the 58 supporters of Tom Yamarone's fundraising campaign. It's so awesome to see all the great people that Tom has touched during his life show the kind of love and support that he's most definitely going to need for many months to come.

We're closing in to the $5000 level but still along way to our initial goal of $20,000. Please take the time to pass on the word of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, e-mail, and other type of social media. I talked to Tom yesterday and he's very appreciative of the love and support. Trust me when I say he needs us...like BIG time. Thanks again for your contributions. Please keep Tom and the entire Yamarone family in our prayers. Take care and God Bless.

Sincerely,

Marc A. DeWerth
