The Story

As many of you have heard, our very good friend Tom Yamarone had a massive stroke on February 5th. This news was quite shocking and quickly spread throughout the entire Bigfoot community as well as all of his friends and family.

Tom's stroke has paralyzed him on one side and has just started going through extensive rehabilitation process that will take all our love and support to ensure Tom can have hope of a full recovery. Although he has insurance, a majority of these extra "not covered" expenses will be adding up and will most definitely put some serious pressure on his family in this time of high stress and many questions.  His wife Marilee and daughter Angela could most definitely use our support.

As most of you know, Tom is known as the "Bob Dylan of Bigfoot" on the west coast and the "Johnny Cash of Bigfoot" on the east coast. His many years of support of the entire Bigfoot community include events like the John Green Tribute, Ohio Bigfoot Conference, and the Bob Gimlin Tribute. His dedication to our community and close friendship with the great Bob Gimlin has brought out many smiles all across the country. The time he has put into the community is second to none. To top it off, his musical talents and loads of just plain awesome Bigfoot songs have been a staple in our community for many years.

I beg each and everyone of you to help Tom and his family out and make donation to his cause. Every dollar raised will ensure his family will be taken care of and rehabilitation continues with the best health care possible. To even fathom the thought of Tom not being able to play his guitar is just gut wrenching and we need to band together and help Tom in his time of most need. And we all know very well if we were in need, Tom would most definitely contribute to our cause.

In all the years I've dealt with people, I consider Tom one of my best and most trusted friends. He is the most caring and compassionate person I've ever met and I'm honored to call him my friend. We love you Tom!

Just wanted to give everyone an update on Tom's progress. He's really starting to kick some butt in rehab. All the positive vibes, cards, phone calls, and love are starting to work and driving him even harder to have a full recovery. His family has been totally floored by the amount of love and generosity that all of us has shown. Please keep it up. Is he out of the water you many ask? Absolutely not...he needs us..his family needs our support. Please share this page with all your friends so they may consider to make a donation towards his massive medical expenses.

We're sitting at just about $14,000 of the original $20,000 goal. His new rehabilitation facility that he will be at starting this Friday is going to run $5000 a month. Lets all band together and get him to that $20,000 goal to ensure he has four full months of top notch rehab. We can all do this if we work together. Please share, tweet, e-mail, etc... to all your friends... Thanks for considering :-) #YAMSROCKS
Love you Yams!!

Sincerely,

Marc A. DeWerth

Tom, Marilee, and Angela really appreciate the support, the love, and the kindness that all of you have provided. Please take the time to continue to share and spread the word of our friend in need. It's so appreciated :-)

An update on Tom's condition is as followed. He's really starting to react towards his rehab process and is starting to kick its ass. His attitude, the sound of his voice, and his dedication are all starting to kick in. More than ever now he needs our continued support. An update on his fundraiser can be seen below. Cards can be mailed to Tom Yamarone, 3508 Madeira Way, Livermore, CA 94550.

Sitting at the two week mark of the campaign it's amazing to see we've raised almost $12,500 of the original goal of $20,000 to cover his ever growing medical expenses. That's completely awesome!! Now all we need to do is take it to the next level and get tour $20,000 goal. Spread the word, the love, and lets CRUSH this.... Look for the next update this coming weekend. Than you all for helping Tom and his family in this time of extreme need. God Bless you all :-) #YAMSROCKS

Once again, I can't express the gratitude and generosity that all of you have provided for Tom Yamarone and his family during these very scary and unfamiliar times. Marilee, Angela and the rest of the Yamarone's greatly appreciate all the love and support. We've crested the $10,000 mark in only a week which is truly amazing. Now we need all of you to help take it to the next level by sharing this fundraiser via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Please pass the good vibes!!

Tom is slowly progressing in his rehab getting six treatments a day. It's a long and tedious process and he is working his rear end off. We need to keep the support and love coming. Words of encouragement are a must and can truly inspire him to take his rehab to the next level. I know Tom can do this and he WILL. Lets keep him in our prayers and keep him on our minds. People can be a powerful weapon in defeating darkness. Lets give Yams all the support we can. Thanks again for all your support. Love you Yams! #YAMSROCKS

Sincerely,

Marc A. DeWerth
