RALLY AROUND TITAN AND HIS URGENT MEDICAL CASE
Meet Titan, PYP’s newest pup. PYP was first contacted about Titan when he was 5-6 months old and he was having neurological issues that his owner could not, or would not, pay for at the vet. He was almost in safe hands when the owner changed her mind and kept him.
Instead of being a lucky PYP dog at that point, tragedy struck Titan just 3 months later when he was ATTACKED by two other unaltered dogs who were temporarily staying in Titan's home due to their family losing their home. Titan was pinned to the floor by his neck and as a result his throat was severely damaged. He could not breath or swallow normally. He was taken to the vet by his owner, who told the vet she had found him tied to a house with injuries, but the truth was she could not pay the bill nor wanted to be responsible for Titan’s current condition. He was discharged with basic care as a result.
Did his owner call for help from PYP then when her dog was having breathing and swallowing problems? No. She let him sit like this for FOUR MONTHS and waited until her other unaltered dog and Titan started getting into fights in the house.
PYP was called this month by Titan’s owner to surrender him. PYP went to visit Titan WITHOUT KNOWING HE WAS IN THIS CONDITION. WE were simply going to meet him to see what foster we could find based on his personality and issues. The instant we saw him in this condition we knew we had to help him immediately. There was no saying ‘no’ or ‘maybe’ to this dog.
PYP has wasted no time since finding out about Titan. He was seen at RBVH and had surgery yesterday, March 29th, to correct his laryngeal paralysis. He will be able to BREATHE and EAT normally again. He was also vaccinated for the first time in his life, then neutered and microchipped as well.
This is where all you angels come in - PYP is currently sitting with a $2600 bill for Titan’s care right off the bat. WE NEED YOU TO HELP TITAN and any other dog who could be a phone call away from needing immediate medical care.
PYP won’t leave Titan or his needs behind ever again like another human has.
GIVE - please think about all this poor boy has been through. Your $5, $20, $100 is helping Titan and every other dog PYP has the courage and drive to help when other rescues would have said no.
We truly appreciate any amount given, no donation is too small(or large:). Thank you in advance for your generosity and support!
