The Story

2 months ago we learned cancer has returned to both of my lungs. This is a very difficult time for us and we need all the help we can get.

After talking to doctors from Houston Methodist, MD Anderson, CCI, and OSU we learned the best treatment for me is a very new drug that is being tested at The Ohio State University.

Brian and I have already made 2 trips out there (1200 miles round trip) and will need to go for the next 4 week and then monthly from there on out.

To cut down on cost we are driving, but we are still having to rent the car, buy gas, hotel, and food. Plus the everyday cost with being a transplant / cancer patient is expensive. Brian is also having to take time off work for the out of town appointments.

We thank you in advance for helping us get through this hard time, again. Please keep our little family in your prayers as we start this journey again.

Brian and I got back yesterday (well really 3am today) from a quick trip to Ohio.

I had scans this time, and that always brings anxiety. Thankfully everything looking good. The trial is still working. There was shrinkage in my lungs, and my liver is still cancer free.

So we are starting cycle 7 of this trial. The plan is, to keep doing it until it quits working. Then we will go from there.

Thank you all for the love, support, and prayers. It means so much to us.

We got home late Monday night from Ohio.
It was a long day of testing. I had an Echo, blood work, eye exam, and seen my research nurse.
Everything is looking good, and I get to start a new cycle!
The only thing the doctors seem to be considered with is my eyes. The trial drug has messed up my vision a little, so the eye doctor gave me drops to use 5 times a day, and said it will get better (if not we will do something else).
So I will do this 21 day cycle, and then have scans! We are believing and praying for good news!

What a beautiful friday!

We got home from Ohio today at 3:30am. Brian had to be at work at 6:00am. Yall pray for him. That he can find rest.

It was a stressful day yesterday. I had scans, an echo, eye exam, blood work, and had an appointment with Dr. Saab.

I'm so happy to report that the medicine worked! And it worked GOOD! We were hoping for it to just keep me stable, but it did more!! I had shrinkage 15% in the places they are tracking, and even more in others. The doctor said this is exciting.
What a wonderful Christmas gift to my little family!!!

Even with the great news, we are still going to be traveling out there. Our next visit is Dec. 17
Making these visits is hard. Brian is missing 2 days of week, and not getting paid. This is drastically hurting our financial situation. I know it's Christmas, and everyone is tight on cash, but if you could consider helping us with this next trip.
Thank you to everyone that has already helped. Thank you.

And thank you to everyone that has been praying for us. God showed up, and showed out again. And we are blessed.
