My Name is Rami, I am 45 years old originally from Aleppo Syria.
Living in Finland for the past 30 years with my wife, a father of 6 beautiful children.
I ran my own business for 25 years now, but ever since the Syrian war broke out in 2011 my life tuned upside down.
After watching the atrocities for a year, I decided to act and get involved by traveling myself with my savings to Syria. That was in 2012, and the first trip changed my life priorities completely.
I got back to Finland and started to raise awareness about the humanitarian crises tens of thousands are facing there!
Then I set up a small fundraising among my close circle.
So ever since, I traveled every 2 months to Syria myself to deliver the money on spot to buy food, medicine, water etc to the most needy people there!
On my first trip, I told my kids that am going to war zone to try to help people and mostly kids, my 3 year old suggested to take them her toys, she gave me all her toys to take over.
To be honest, that was the most beautiful thing I have ever done in my entire life, the moment of sharing toys to children in Syria, who escaped war, brought the sense of hope to them.
And ever since, I made sure I always have a 1000 toys on me on top of the money we raised for real aid (food, medical supplies, water).
I traveled in the past 6 years 31 times, delivered more than 30.000 toys in addition to building 3 schools for 1900 children in Syria, and caring for more than 400 orphans and delivering around 20 Tones of food a year!
I later became known around the world as THE TOY SMUGGLER.
SYRIA is undergoing another massive deportation and hundreds of thousands are now been displaced from their homes, the people of Eastern Ghouta are at this moment facing one massive displacement to South Syria and refugee camps near by the city of Edlib.
These people are in great need of all the basic aid (food, water, shelter, etc)
We will offer our support in providing tents and and immediate necessities to save the lives of these children who have lived under siege for more than 5 years.
We will provide the following:
1) Food and hygienic parcels
2) Mattresses and blankets and all the most important life relating items.
3) Build a small school later for those children who have been displaced from Ghouta
We have been working in Syria since 2012 by being on the ground and monitoring our works closely; I have traveled to Syria 31 times on missions.
We have built since 2013 until now 4 schools offering proper education for more than 1200 children; also providing more than 10 tonnes of food to internally displaced Syrians.
