ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
Through arts education and community partnerships, The Imagine Bus Project engages youth impacted by the juvenile justice system. As a small but mighty team, we work to harness the power of transformation through arts education, individualized case management, employment, and a deep belief in their ability to succeed.
High levels of poverty and gentrification in urban settings, coupled with barriers to getting educational needs met and obtaining employment, recidivism is likely – if not expected – of juvenile justice youth. The Imagine Bus Project inspires over 750 incarcerated youth annually to begin a new trajectory, and yet their biggest efforts are ahead of them as they re-enter the community—to get back into school, get a job, and stay free.
Please join our Giving Tuesday fundraiser to ensure success within our two core programs:
YOUTH STUDIO – a weekly 90-minute fine arts and life-skills session for incarcerated youth, and
ARTS ON THE OUTS – a continuation of the arts education paired with case management and employment opportunities for youth released from juvenile institutions.
