It's not uncommon for a homeless person to wait 4 to 6 hours to get a shower at one of the few places in the city that offer them.
We want to make a drop-in center for the homeless on the east side of Akron. We already have a building at 15 Broad Street. We've got a cool store called the Second Chance Store where 100% of the money goes to the homeless. The next thing they really want is a shower. We have the exact space for it. The water is already run. We just need to make a drain and enclose it.

A shower is something most of us take for granted. That's not true with the homeless. Please consider helping us with this project.
