The Story

On March 3, 2017 an unknown arsonist lit fire to Downtown Augusta's beloved 1102 Bar & Grill in the middle of the night. Suddenly, thirty of our friends and neighbors woke to the news that they were out of work.

We are a tight-knit community and this loss is far deeper than their patio seating or their Sunday brunches - our Downtown family has been hit. Anything you contribute will be split evenly among the employees to try and ease the financial burden so unfairly thrust upon them. Let's show 1102 how grateful we are for all the memories we have there - and how much we look forward to making more.

Keep Downtown Kind.

Holy cow! $4,230 in less than a week.

We are truly amazed to see this response from the community and just wanted to say thank you so much! In addition to the money being raised through this fundraiser; there have been multiple businesses in the community that have come out in support of the crew offering to find a few shifts a week as fill-in while we wait for 1102 to re-open.

There are some fun surprises up Adrian's sleeve as far as the next steps of this online fundraiser so please keep up with our page for more news and updates as they become available. We promise not to spam you with updates.

On the radar for this week is a pass the hat donation at Open Mic Night with The Highlander and Dewayne Brock. If you have any local fundraiser or benefit information you would like to pass on to us - please send us an email! We would love to share it with everyone. These events are a great way to catch up with the employees of 1102 and show your support.

Thank you all SO much for your help these last few days - it's been amazing and we're not done yet!

Over $1,000 raised in a single afternoon! Y'all are amazing.

We may or may not have surprised the 1102 crew with this fundraising idea, so the outpouring of Facebook shares and positivity have been a really great addition to this first afternoon of pulling together for our friends.

If you have any questions or ideas, please get in touch with us through here, Facebook, on the street - however you know how. So far the team is Adrian E and Jaci T but we may need more if we keep this momentum going!

Thank y'all
