Posted on September 23, 2017Winter weather has set in early. We're having low temperatures overnight and during the day, running from freezing overnight to highs of less than 60F. It's 34F this morning, which is close to freezing (32F), close to zero on the Centigrade scale. Slush came out of my kitchen faucet, so I'll have to take steps to ensure that the water pipes don't freeze. This means running the heat at night and letting the cold water drip. I don't know how I'm going to pay the heating bill, but one burst pipe could spill hundreds of gallons of water before I could get it shut off.

Posted on September 21, 2017It's cold and raining, even though the weather service says it's sunny and warm. I had to fire up the heater. I don't know how I'm going to pay the heating bill, but it really is that cold.

Posted on September 17, 2017I know that many victims of the hurricanes and earthquakes have needed your help, but please remember me, too. I'm on the edge, financially, and my eBay sales have trickled down to nothing. My book sales are good, but I wont' see that money until the end of October, and it really is not that much, under $100. I must catch up on my payments for legal bills, where I'm two months behind, and that won't leave enough to keep the lights on so I can keep writing. I'm also making more jam to sell to friends and family, but that's only pocket money.
I'm on the edge, as always, of losing my home.
