Devoted Husband, Father of Five & Grandfather
Tom and I have been married for almost 26 years. He is my best friend, the love of my life, the best father I could have ever wanted for our five children and an awesome grandfather of two. He is a hard worker, a United States Army veteran who served in Desert Storm. Tom is always thinking of others and is the first one to run to help when others are in need. He is my hero, my rock, my partner in life. The strong one we all depend on in our time of weakness.
However, now, the roles have reversed. My strong soldier is the one who needs our help. In 2011, Tom was diagnosed with colon cancer and has had to endure numerous medical treatments and surgeries, as well as homeopathic methods. The bills alone are in excess of $100,000.00, as they sit accumulating to this present day. He took on cancer with his head held high, fighting the toughest battle of his life. He never gave up hope of one day winning. Earlier this year, the diagnosis changed to stage four colon cancer, with the prognosis to get his affairs together. His fight is coming to the inevitable end. Tom has not stopped to feel sorry for himself, not even for one minute. He only worries about us, the medical bills, and our roof that is in desperate need of repair. He keeps trying to solve our problems when he should be spending the rest of his days with us, in peace and worry-free. I feel helpless, not being able to take the stress away from him, especially our roof, the huge problem I can’t ignore any longer because it’s about to cave in, on top of our fast growing medical debt.
This is what brings me to “You Caring” website. I humbly ask for your help to raise enough money to repair our roof. I desperately want to be able to tell Tom I have a solution. I want him to know that we’ll be okay and the roof will be repaired. I want his last days of time to be special, for him to be at peace, and not to worry about everything. Any donation, no matter the amount, is needed and so appreciated. I will forever be grateful for your help. God bless to all!
