TAMID is a student-run nonprofit that provides students with hands-on business experience through interaction with the Israeli economy. The first semester in TAMID, new members partake in an education seminar in which students gain valuable skills in a variety of business topics. Upon completion of the education curriculum, students may choose to directly consult for Israeli startups or to participate in market investment research and portfolio management for our chapter. Finally, our students who complete the education semester have the ability to apply to the TAMID fellowship, a rigorous summer internship program in Tel Aviv.
While many Maryland business and non-business students alike have benefitted from what TAMID has to offer, we hope to give our current and future members a more valuable and enriching experience. Our chapter is growing substantially, with 35 active members in our most recent class and over 60 total members in good standing. Additionally, we are currently consulting for seven up-and-coming startups and our fund just invested in several stocks. The fund continues to monitor the market and manage a $6000 portfolio. In order to continue providing the valuable and unique TAMID experience at Maryland, we ask for your help. If you were to generously donate, your contribution could go towards:
- Hosting distinguished speakers
- Creating exciting programs such as educational field trips
- Purchasing academic-based software for our students
- Sending students on the annual TAMID Fellowship
