Posted on February 29, 2016Hello,
We are happy to report that we raised the needed funds to purchase the Stockton Animal Shelter an X-ray machine. We are beyond proud to see our community and beyond come together to support our cause. The Shelter staff works tirelessly day after day, dealing with sick and injured animals. There have been many great improvements made at the Shelter over the last 3 years. Now that the Shelter will have an on-site X-ray machine, they will be able to further improve on those efforts by being able to diagnose and treat sick and injured animals more efficiently, without undue stress on the animals.
We can not thank everyone enough for their generosity to help the homeless and abandoned animals of Stockton and San Joaquin County. Together We Can All Make A Difference and every one who donated to this worthwhile cause has proven that.
Thank you from the Animal Protection League Board.

Posted on February 12, 2016Wow, in just a little over 7 months our community and beyond has helped us raise $74,000 dollars to purchase the Stockton Animal Shelter a state of the art radiography machine. We are $1,000 dollars away from the $75,000 goal! Being that it is Valentines Day weekend, how wonderful it would be that we could say that we concluded the fundraiser just in time for Valentines Day.
Can you pitch in just a few dollars? Remember, your donation is tax deductible. You can donate online or you can send in your tax deductible donation to the Animal Protection League at P.O. Box 61912 Stockton, CA 95269-1912. If sending in a check make sure to write "X-ray" in the memo section of your check.
Happy Valentines Day!

Posted on January 18, 2016We hope the new year has been treating you well. Yesterday, the Stockton Animal Shelter posted their end of the year recap. With our help they managed to reach an 82% Live Release Rate, it is astounding that just 3 years ago, the Live Release was 32% The Animal Protection League was a critical a piece to that success. Our dedicated volunteers who spend day after day helping at the Shelter doing laundry, walking dogs and helping potential adopters look for their pet or find a new pet to adopt. And we don't want to forget those volunteers who spend their weekends adopting animals at the off-site events.
We are less than 6,000 dollars away from our goal of raising 75,000 dollars to purchase the Shelter an X-ray machine. Having an onsite radiograph machine will help the Shelter provide better treatment plans for the hundreds of sick and injured animals that arrive at the Shelter every year.
Remember, you can donate online or you can send in your tax deductible donation to the Animal Protection League at P.O. Box 61912 Stockton, CA 95269-1912
