The Story

St. Matthew’s caught fire on the morning of November 11, 2017.

Please pray for us. We are being told that it will take up to a year to rebuild, and we don’t know where we’ll worship until then.

Again, your prayers are most important. If you can give monetarily, we greatly appreciate it.

The building may be gone (temporarily, God willing), but we still rejoice that Christ is Among Us.

This is a photo from the introduction to the Vesperal Liturgy honoring St. Matthew the Evangelist on Wednesday, November 15th.

A deep thank you to Yurch Funeral Home for arranging a room for our Liturgy on a short timeframe.

A few more pictures will be available to view in the photo section of the YouCaring site for those interested.

Fox 8 released a report containing a brief conversation with Fr. Andrew and the North Royalton Fire Department.

Thanks to the North Royalton Fire Department for a prompt response to the fire call. Thanks also to Fox 8 for their story.

We have a new, easier-to-remember link for the fundraiser!

www.youcaring.com/stmatthew

Both the older, longer link and the new one will work, but this one is much easier to type and remember.

Note also that we will have our patronal Liturgy in honor of St. Matthew on Wednesday, November 15th at 6:30pm at Yurch Funeral Home, 5618 Broadview Road in Parma, Ohio. Lenten Potluck to follow - please come if you're able to celebrate with us in the midst of sadness.

Christ is in our midst,

Al Blazek
