With the strength of new and very capable leadership and the careful scrutiny of financial information, a new and detailed plan has been put in place to create a viable, sustainable home for people with no other place to go. However, we need time and funds to survive while the plan is put into action and has time to take effect. We believe in the Home and its mission, but it cannot continue without substantial and immediate financial help.
It is completely heartbreaking to think of what will happen to the fifty-two disabled adults who call the Stewart Home their home when it ceases to exist. They do not have anywhere to go. There is not another organization that can accommodate this many people whose needs are as great as theirs. The Stewart Home was founded in 1976 by Mrs. Sarah Stewart and has been housing and assisting homeless, disabled adults in the Chattahoochee Valley area for 41 years now. Residents at the home are provided with a clean, comfortable room, three meals a day, and individualized assistance with any medical needs they may have. For all that the Home has done and continues to do for those in greatest need in our community, it is worth saving.
Please prayerfully consider how you can help keep the doors of the Stewart Home open. Any and all help is appreciated.
