Posted on July 19, 2017From Stephanie Laciny, Aaron's mom:
I am so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from all of you: my friends and family, Aaron’s friends and even complete strangers. I always knew that Aaron was an amazing person. He was always super smart, thoughtful and kind even when he was little. He was a late bloomer, slow to realize his potential. But when he did bloom, he flourished in amazing ways. Aaron had just graduated from community college with a 4.0. He received countless awards while obtaining his AA. It is every parent’s dream to see their child succeed in the ways that Aaron succeeded. He exceeded all of my expectations. I knew of many of his successes, however, I had no idea the number of people that Aaron had touched in his short life. I have read all of your comments from the YouCaring site and I am overcome with pride. Your comments disclosed Aaron’s countless acts of selflessness. He helped so many of you. He made a difference in the people’s lives that he touched. I am so grateful to all of you for sharing your memories about Aaron. Through them I discovered things about my son that I would never have known otherwise. Thank you for that. Aaron’s life will be a beacon for me, to strive for more in life, to keep trying no matter what; because Aaron found a way, so can I. And I hope that he will be a beacon for my family and for all of you. His loss is a tragedy from which I will never fully recover. However, it is now up to all of us to continue to give his life meaning by living for Aaron, by striving to succeed in our lives in ways that would bring a smile to Aaron’s beautiful face.
