In February 2014, the St. Clair Missouri Historical Museum burned. The building was lost, as well as about half the historic items, artifacts and displays. Since then volunteers have procured a building with a shiny new mortgage (gulp!). St. Clair is a town of about 4500 people 55 miles outside St. Louis. Most people are poor or working class, and commute an hour or more to work. The museum committee are all volunteers. We constantly hold fundraisers, sell cookbooks, calendars and do membership drives. The mortgage is modest, but constant. The building is a must to hold the old collection and replacement acquisitions.
We are a 501(3) charity and donations are appreciated. We are opening our building next month, and need more funds to Open the Doors and secure the our new home. Wouldn't you consider a donation now?
