Friends and family,
We wanted to give you an update on Gusbus on where we are financially and what are the next steps.
As you know in October, we had our Gusbus event and it was a huge success. We are thankful for everyone who came to partner with us. Currently, with the money from Youcaring, direct checks or cash, the T-shirt sale and the Gusbus event, the amount is $58,000. Wow! Nichole, Henley, Piper and I feel so blessed by your partnership. There are also a few smaller fundraiser possibly in the works.
For the month of November, we have been contacting vendors in the Bay Area, both for the van itself and for the modifications, to try to get a more exact idea of the total cost for each aspect and to make a final decision on which vendors will fit our needs best. The plan is to choose a vendor and purchase the van by late November or early December, because our goal is to have a van by mid-January. The van will take between 6 and 8 weeks to modify, after purchase.
