"For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Spencer and Nichole Gustafson have been holding tightly to this promise from God for the past 11 years. In 2005, while on a college mission trip to Belize, Spencer had a diving accident. Nichole, who was dating Spencer at the time, feared for his life as she witnessed his body float to the top of the water. Spencer had broken two of his vertebrae in his neck, leaving his body paralyzed with only limited mobillity of his arms and hands.
Nichole stuck by Spencer's side and they were married in 2011. Last year they were blessed with a little baby girl, Henley. Nichole's selfless love for her family includes caring for Spencer's day to day needs while also caring for Henley. Spencer works full time for Safeway's corporate office.
The Gustafson’s are in need of a new wheelchair accessible van. They currently own a Ford van that is on its second engine, has 184,000 miles, lacks the safety standards for Henley and is in need of a new hydrolic system for the wheelchair lift. Lets rally around Spencer, Nichole and Henley!
