Happy 2018, friends! Let's start this year strong by ensuring that unequivocal abolitionist vegan education has the public voice it needs in South Florida and beyond!
South Florida Vegan Education Group believes in creating a peaceful, fair and just world for all beings – regardless of species – through vegan education. We are passionate about empowering individuals with the knowledge that veganism is the primary means of dismantling speciesism and achieving the abolition of animal enslavement, exploitation and execution for human pleasure, comfort, convenience and entertainment, and we do this in a unique way that challenges the status quo of the animal “welfare” movement (and the animal exploiters with whom they purposely partner) as it continues to focus on everything but veganismin order to maximize each other’s profits and keep the wheels of animal agriculture turning.
Through our dedication to continuing public education on veganism, animal rights and ethics, the goal of abolishing all forms of animal oppression and eliminating the status of animals as chattel property is quickly becoming a reality!
We are raising funds to cover ongoing printing, travel and entry costs for participation in upcoming events which will help us provide important education to people across Florida and beyond. We feel it is crucial at events such as these that there be a clear, consistent abolitionist vegan message that all animal use is morally unjustifiable and find that such a message is rarely, if ever, presented amidst the cacophony of animal welfare groups and their pleas of reducing animal "suffering" (rather than ending animal use) and other unclear and misleading welfare rhetoric. By directly engaging with the public in an educative fashion, our group provides a true vegan message in an unequivocal, non-threatening manner, one conversation at a time.
South Florida Vegan Education Group is a grassroots 501(c)(3) non-profit social justice organization offering interactive workshops, classes, film screenings and other presentations aimed toward educating the public about veganism and animal rights. In addition, we bring our Vegan Education Station to various locations to offer free conversation and literature at events while maintaining an active online presence via our Facebook page, posting frequent essays on our blog The Turbulence of Dreaming and providing one-on-one mentoring and support to those who wish to learn more about veganism and vegan advocacy.
