Hurricane Irma, now officially recorded as the most powerful and most destructive hurricane to ever hit the Atlantic, left a path of destruction and devastation on the beautiful Caribbean islands we once knew. Along with other islands, Sint Maarten has been categorized as one of the islands most destroyed and affected by the passing of Hurricane Irma. Thousands of homes have been destroyed, displacing families and ripping apart infrastructure and the island's beautiful vegetation. Hurricane Irma, also known as the monster hurricane, nuclear hurricane, a hurricane the size of Texas, has left the little Caribbean gem of Sint Maarten with a total of 95% complete destruction. The little island that many of you may love and even call your second home, has suffered monumental damage. With serious lack of essentials such as food, water, electricity, gas, shelter, and medical supplies, a chaotic outbreak has occurred as people fight for their lives. While the recovery efforts have already begun we will need your help to get back up on our feet. Many fundraising campaigns have been started to provide food and water for the people of Sint Maarten, and as it may be overwhelming to choose where to donate, we thank you for taking a minute to consider what we have to say. The funds that will be collected from this site will go towards helping the people of Sint Maarten and the island as a whole where it is most needed. Between efforts to provide food and water and maintain shelters we also wish to help rescue Sint Maarteners by providing them with medical aid and assistance. We have constant communication with high standing people on the island and continuously get updates about how the island is doing and what the people are missing. We, the people of the friendly island, are asking for your help and generosity. If you are not able to donate, take a moment to spread awareness and share for the sake of the people who have lost everything... If you have the ability to help, then we thank you beyond compare.
Any donation, big or small, is a tremendous help! Please keep our sweet Sint Maarten land close in your thoughts and prayers as we Semper Pro Grediens (Always [Move] Forward)! #prayforsxm #sxmstrong #caribbeanstrong
