The Story

Our dear friend Sierra, Mom to Milita from the blog Fur Everywhere needs our help.  Her dear heart kitty Milita has cancer in her lungs and will be making her journey to the Rainbow Bridge shortly.  Those of you who are friends with Sierra know how devastating this is and how much stress comes along with  a diagnosis like this.

Sierra, a most wonderful cat Mom, is on disability, and as just lost her writing gig, her only other source of income.  Our friend Sierra needs our help.  We need to come together and cover the upcoming final expenses for Milita.  All funds raised will go directly to Sierra and no amount you can give is too small, it all adds up.  If you can’t give, we totally understand, but please take the time to share this fundraiser so we can help ease the burden Sierra is facing.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for caring and sharing.  Note:  I don't know the exact amount Sierra will need so I will adjust the amount once I find out.

Fundraiser Updates

First, thank you all for supporting Milita.  I wanted to give you an update that we received from Mom Sierra.  Anything you can do for their continued support is most appreciated.

From Mom Sierra:

Lita is still with us.  It is nothing short of a miracle that she made it beyond the New Year.

We now have enough funds for her in-home euthanasia when the time comes, thanks to all of you!  Thank you all so very much for your kindness and generosity!

We need additional funds to help cover the care Lita's currently getting to ensure her quality of life.  Lita is currently receiving Convenia injections every 10 days.  Each injection is $55, and she will need at least 4 more of them.  She is also on the Flovent inhaler ($50), and 10mg of Prednisolone a day.

We still do not know what Lita has exactly.  What we do know is that the Convenia injections coupled with the Prednisolone and her other asthma medications (Flovent and Doxycycline) are helping her breathe much better and keeping her from coughing and having asthma ttacks.

The combination of Convenia, Prednisolone, and other asthma medications have significantly improved Lita's quality of life, and I would love to continue to provide these for her.  Lita is eating well right now, demanding food and attention, and wandering around the apartment.  She is more herself than she has been in months, and it is wonderful to see her happy!

Any donation for her care, big or small, is appreciated so very much.  Thank you for caring about Lita.
